Report Highlights Crisis in On-Call Trauma Care in Hawaii
In an informational briefing held by the Senate Committee on Health, the Legislative Reference Bureau and the Department of Health presented their findings and recommendations for addressing the rising shortage of physicians in ‘on call’ trauma-level care facilities. The committee hopes to use the recommendations from the report to further future discussions and legislative action on improving emergency and trauma-level healthcare operations throughout the state.
