Senate Democrats’ Majority Energy Bill Moves Ahead

photo  The Senate Committees on Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing and Energy, Environment and International Affairs, voted to advance SB 2957 on February 16th. The bill is part of the 2006 Senate Majority Package and calls for a number of proposals to increase use and development of renewable energy and reduce Hawaii’s dependence on fossil fuels. The bill will now move on to the Senate Committee on Ways and Means.
