David M. Louie Confirmed as Attorney General

On May 3, 2011, the Hawaii State Senate confirmed David M. Louie as Attorney General to the Department of the Attorney General.

Louie received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Bloat Hall School of Law.  Prior to his appointment as Interim Attorney General, Louie served as Managing Partner at Roeca, Louie and Hiraoka, where he practiced in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, construction defect litigation, commercial litigation, production liability, and aviation litigation.

Actively involved in the legal community, Louie has served as the President of the Hawaii State Bar Association, the Hawaii Supreme Court Special Committee on Judicial Performance, among others. He has also served on the Aloha Tower Development Corporation as Director then as Chair of the Board of Directors.
