Senator David Y. Ige Offers Remarks on Senate Bill 2819
This afternoon, Senate Committee on Ways and Means Chair David Y. Ige explained Senate Bill 2819, relating to the sales of electronic cigarettes. The committee heard testimony on the bill earlier today, on February 8, 2012. The bill places e-cigarettes with other tobacco products as items prohibited to be sold to a minor and amends the definition of “tobacco products” for purposes of taxation.
