Senators Shift Committee Assignments

Legislators Take Action to Help Keep Kukui Gardens Affordable for Residents

kukui2  The Senate Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing advanced legislation on March 16th to help keep the Kukui Gardens housing complex affordable for its nearly 2,500 residents. Kukui Gardens’ owners agreed to provide local residents with affordable housing until 2011 as a condition for initial funding they received from HUD 36 years ago. The Committee recommended passage of SCR58, SR37 and HB2239.
