Governor David Ige released $4,500,000.00 in capital improvement

project funding (CIP) to finance construction for track and field improvements at Hilo High School.

“As a Hilo High School alumnus, I’m very pleased that Governor Ige is following up with the funding so that the students and community can reap the benefits of an updated and modern track and field,” said Senator Lorraine R. Inouye (District 4 – Hilo, Pauka‘a, Papaikou, Pepe‘ekeo).

“An upgraded track and field will not only provide a top-notch sports facility, but also a place where the school community can stage various events.”
