HONOLULU – Senator Sharon Y. Moriwaki (District 12 - Waikīkī, Ala Moana, Kaka‘ako, McCully) announced $9,000,000 in capital improvement program funds to finance the design and construction for athletic complex improvements.

“I am very pleased to announce these significant funds for McKinley,” said Senator Moriwaki. “Thank you to Governor Green for recognizing the importance of athletic programs in our schools. With $7 million appropriated in 2023 and another $7 million in 2025, today’s release of $9 million will complete the athletic complex improvements, taking the project across the finish line to deliver modern, safe, and inspiring facilities that will serve McKinley students for generations to come.”
